Hi, I'm Dr. Gretchen Frey. This humble website is intended to tell you about who I am and what I do.
I left the full time medical practice of obstetrics and gynecology in 2019. I am now available for telemedicine consults in the areas of menopausal and hormone therapy management, sexual dysfunction and sexual health. It is possible I may have very limited availability for in person visits in the future. This is possible through my current association with Direct Osteopathic Primary Care (DOPC). This is the (outstanding!) family practice of Dr. Brieanna Seefeldt, DO, in the northwest Denver metro area. Details about how to schedule a consult are below.
I am now increasing my activities in the field of sexuality education, both among medical professionals and for the public. I am available to give presentations to a variety of audiences. More about this on the "Sexuality" page.
If you are a former patient looking for ongoing gynecologic care, I continue to recommend the providers at All About Women's Care in Englewood, where your medical records reside. Other practitioners I recommended upon leaving practice in 2019, and continue to recommend, include:
Pelvic pain/vulvodynia patients:
Dr. Nel Gerig at the Pelvic Solutions Center at Presbyterian/St. Luke's
Dr. Jim Lukban of Colorado Pelvic Floor Consultants at Swedish Medical Center
Dr. Kathy Witzeman and The Women's Pelvic Health clinic at Denver Health Medical Center
Dr. Anna Wegleitner at Porter Primary Care
Dr. Mia Scott at Apex Family Medicine
The transgender care clinic at Denver Health Medical Center
Prescription of compounded hormone therapy:
My current colleague, Dr. Brieanna Seefeldt
Dr. Rachel Corbett of CU South Metro OB/GYN
Dr. Monique Martin of Global Medicine in Littleton.
HOW TO SCHEDULE A CONSULT:
Contact Direct Osteopathic Primary Care in Lakeside, CO:
Direct Osteopathic Primary Care is a small, private, integrative family practice located near I-70 and Sheridan Ave. Brieanna Seefeldt, DO and Meghan Price, NP are the providers. It is a "direct access" model which means no insurance is accepted, rather, patients pay a small monthly fee for unlimited primary care encounters. Many patients find having minimal "catastrophic" health care coverage, or a health share plan, and paying a low monthly fee to access all their primary care needs, is more affordable than going with traditional full insurance coverage.
My consults don't require membership in the practice; there is a "stand alone" price for a nonmember telemedicine consult. However, because my availability is limited, I won't be managing medication regimens directly. If you wish to begin or continue a regimen of hormones or other prescribed medications that I may recommend, and don't already have an established provider who can oversee this, Dr. Seefeldt is available to manage your medications if you go ahead with practice membership. She and I communicate regularly about any concerns or feedback, and you can always schedule a followup telemedicine visit with me if you like.
